***Notice***
This course is primarily designed for undergraduate students who want to improve their English presentation language and techniques, and to gain more experience in delivering presentations that can be both academic or popular in style.
In this course, we will cover basic principles and skills that can be applied to just about any type of presentation. From an academic research presentation, to a motivational or persuasive speech to your peers, the principles and skills covered are universals. These principles and skills include things such as attitude, connection, performance, engagement, and persuasion.
A large part of this course will also be dedicated to the process of designing and preparing for a presentation. Working in groups, you will get feedback and advice from your peers as you work together in preparing your own presentations.
Through knowledge and understanding and principles and skills, as well as through the process of designing and preparing presentations, no matter what your English proficiency level, or past experiences, you will emerge from this class as a stronger and more effective presenter. |
